John began his 28 year career trading a Municipal Bond Arbitrage strategy before running several Equity & Derivatives trading desks at the world’s largest Global Investment Banks. He has held positions as the Head of North and South Americas Delta One Products at Credit Lyonnais/Credit Agricole, Head of ETF trading at Bear Stearns & Co. and Senior Trader of multiple Delta One and Option books at Credit Suisse First Boston totaling over $7.5 Billion in notional USD.  At Vertice Capital Partners, John launched his flagship Vertice Velocity Fund, LP, a multi-strategy Hedge Fund focusing on extracting premium efficiencies and roll-yield capture by reverse engineering, and constructing hedges around volatility ETFs.

 

John focused his coursework studies in a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics, Business Administration and Associate's of Accountancy. John also earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, with concentrations in Quantitative Analysis, Policy Studies and Organizational Behavioral Sciences. The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago is a prestigious university consistently ranked in the top 3 business schools in the United States.

 

In his spare time, John devotes much of his time to his faith, family, and education, attending weekly bible courses and teaching university level courses in Finance, Leadership, Entrepreneurialism, and Risk Management. An avid filmmaker, John has also produced award winning documentaries and feature films that touch on relevant social content; such as media bias, religious freedoms, and political discontent.

 

As a strong supporter of the military and an advocate for personal protection, John helps to teach personal defense combatives to groups comprised of law enforcement officers, ex-military, and various other professionals as a black belt level Mixed Martial Arts instructor in Japanese Chito Ryu Karate and Combat Hapkido. John is currently working toward instructor level certificates in Brazilian Jui Jitsu as he aids in teaching anti-bullying defense and combative tactics in all ranges from the primary school level to adults.
